Submit a Proposal:

All proposals must be submitted electronically using this proposal submission utility. The proposal submission process involves 3 steps, entering author information, entering presentation information, and submitting the proposal. This submission utility will take you step by step through the process.

All proposals must contain the following information:

  1. Author(s) Information:
    • First Name, Last Name
    • Title/Position
    • Institution
    • Address
    • Email
    • Phone
  1. Presentation Type: There are three types of presentations:
    • Interactive Teaching Sessions: Interactive teaching sessions are focused on sharing, modeling and discussing higher education teaching and learning, while allowing for interaction among session participants. More details >>; Sample Interactive Proposal >>
    • Academic Research Sessions: Academic research sessions focus on original research in which higher education teaching and learning methods, materials and characteristics are assessed and evaluated. More details >>; Sample Research Proposal >>
    • Poster Sessions: Poster sessions are focused on individualized sharing of teaching and learning methods and research addressing higher education teaching and learning. More details >>
  1. Presentation Title: The presentation title should be descriptive and no longer than 100 characters in length, and written in upper and lower case.
  1. Presentation Abstract: The presentation abstract should be approximately 50-100 words in length and should provide an indication of the proposed presentation’s subject, content, and delivery method. This abstract will be printed and distributed to all conference attendees at the conference.
  1. Presentation Proposal:
    • Interactive Teaching Sessions: Interactive teaching session proposals should include the presentation’s objectives, audience, activities, description and references.
    • Academic Research Sessions: Academic research session proposals should include the research purpose, literature foundation, methods (quantitative or qualitative), results and discussion/conclusions.
    • Poster Sessions: Poster session proposals should include either the teaching or reseach components as indicated above.
